Laser North, a laser cutting and fabrication specialist, is hiring afternoon shift Laser Operators to join their team in Baraga, Michigan.\n

\nAfternoon Shift: Monday – Thursday 2:30pm – 12:30am.\n

\nWhat You’ll Do.\n
\n
\nOperate CNC laser cutting equipment to produce quality parts that meet customer specifications. You read work instructions and prints, load materials, monitor the cutting process, check finished parts, and make sure each job is completed safely, accurately, and on time. You also:\n
\n
\nSet up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment.\n
\nRead prints, job travelers, work orders, and specifications.\n
\nMeasure parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.\n
\nInspect parts for quality, accuracy, and finish.\n
\nMonitor machine performance and communicate issues quickly.\n
\nHandle materials safely and follow proper lifting practices.\n
\nKeep your work area clean, organized, and production-ready.\n
\nSupport other production areas when needed.\n
\n

\nYou do not need to know everything on day one. Previous laser, CNC, machining, fabrication, or manufacturing experience is helpful, but Laser North will train the right person with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. A strong candidate brings:\n
