Service Plumbing Technician

\nCoordinate, execute, maintain, repair and install all types of plumbing equipment, domestic water systems, sewer systems, and related devices. Perform preventative maintenance (PM) programs, inspections and repairs; respond to emergency plumbing calls and maintain and repair all natural gas services including valves. Provide general plumbing/drain cleaning services.\n

\n*Service Plumber Responsibilities and Duties*\n
\n
\n* Installs pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids\n
\n* Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation\n
\n* Assembles fittings and valves for installation\n
\n* Modifies length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for a building\n
\n* Uses saws and pipe cutters as necessary\n
\n* Installs water heaters\n
\n* Tests plumbing systems for leaks and other problems\n
\n* Analyses problem and identifies appropriate tools and materials for repair\n
\n* Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes\n
\n* Writes report documenting the problem and summary of actions taken\n
\n* Performs inspections of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts\n
\n
