Welder

Our client, an industry leader in tree care, recycling equipment and waste wood processing, is seeking a Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be part of the Industrial department supporting the production and assembly teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Welder

Location: Winn, MI

Pay Range: Starting at $19.33 an hour

Shift:
1st shift 5 am to 1:30 pm, shift times can vary

What's the Job?

• Weld and assemble metal parts to meet company standards
• Assemble components using various tools and techniques
• Become proficient in operating welding equipment required for the role
• Explore ways to improve efficiency, speed, and quality of work
• Perform finishing tasks such as sanding, scraping, and clean-up duties as needed

What's Needed?

• A high school diploma or GED REQUIRED; additional welding training or certification is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of related welding experience
• Must pass client weld test
• Ability to perform basic math operations including fractions and decimals
• Experience with welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, or FCAW is preferred
• Knowledge of reading blueprints, schematics, and measuring tools like tape measures and squares
