Job Description
Make a meaningful impact by supporting young learners, as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a contract assignment near Kennesaw, GA. This maternity leave position offers the opportunity to work with elementary students, ages 5-11, within a dedicated and welcoming school environment. The role covers a full-time schedule and calls for specialized expertise in school-based SLP services.
Candidates with SLP-CCC credentials, a strong background in educational speech-language pathology, and a passion for helping children thrive are especially encouraged to apply. This assignment starts as soon as possible and runs through approximately October 2nd, 2026.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Active GaPSC SLP Educator Certification
- Experience with pediatric caseloads in a school setting
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Core Duties:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to elementary students
- Assess, diagnose, and document communication disorders
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Communicate effectively with caregivers and staff to support each child's progress
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with district and legal standards
