Job Summary
A public sector organization in Seattle, WA is seeking an HR Assistant for a contract opportunity with strong potential for conversion to a permanent role. This HR Assistant position is ideal for a polished, service-focused Human Resources professional who enjoys being the first point of contact for employees, applicants, visitors, and internal teams.
In this fully onsite role, you will support a busy HR department with onboarding, recruiting coordination, HR records, compliance documentation, HRIS data entry, and front desk support. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR front desk contact, providing professional customer service to employees, applicants, visitors, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including scheduling, paperwork, orientations, employee tours, and new hire documentation.
- Support I-9, E-Verify, W-4, HRIS data entry, employee records, HR files, audits, and compliance tracking.
- Assist with job postings, applicant support, recruiting coordination, ADA accommodation documentation, and related HR administrative processes.
- Manage HR department support activities, including mail distribution, badge and transit pass inventory, meeting room schedules, and general administrative support.
- Help ensure accurate recordkeeping, confidentiality, and compliance with HR policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $30.00 to $33.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Location: Seattle, WA.
- Work environment: Fully onsite.
- Assignment length: Minimum 3 months with strong potential for conversion to a permanent position.
- Start date: ASAP.
- Interview process: Virtual interview with HR leadership and team members.
- Background check required.
