Job Description
Step into a dynamic school environment on the Southeast Texas Coast, providing vital speech-language services for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with a strong background in educational settings and a preference for on-site work. While virtual candidates are considered, direct, in-person support is strongly favored for this role.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP license, in compliance with state fingerprinting requirements
- Previous experience delivering school-based SLP services
- Proficiency with Frontline/E-Sped platforms
- Capable of supervising School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Strong communication, mentoring, and organizational skills
- Flexible and adaptable, willing to serve across multiple school sites as assignments are determined
- Not a former employee of the district
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise district SLPAs, providing guidance, feedback, and support
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to students across identified age groups per district needs
- Conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and maintain timely, accurate documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize district technology and reporting platforms efficiently (Frontline/E-Sped)
- Adhere to district policies, state regulations, and professional best practices
- Manage caseloads as assigned, ensuring high-quality service delivery
Please note: Interviews are scheduled to begin after August 3, 2026 in coordination with the interim SLP coordinator. Candidates must be prepared to expedite credentialing and fingerprinting if not already completed.
