Quick Facts Location: Martinsville, VA at 320 Hospital Drive Start Date: 08/03/2026 End Date: 07/31/2027 Shift: 4 days per week, 8-10 hours/day (pending patient volume), beeper call only (light call — 2-5 calls/week, phone only) Hours/Week: Approximately 32-40 hours Employment Type: Temporary (potential for longer-term) License/Certifications: Active Medical License in VA (or eligible) required; Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology preferred Experience: Prior experience in Internal Medicine, Hematology, or Oncology preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (rate to be discussed upon application) Pay Package: Weekly pay via direct deposit Benefits: Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), licensure and travel reimbursements, paid sick time (per applicable laws), robust referral bonus program, apartment availability, paid travel/reimbursements when applicable, 24/7 dedicated team support through VHS What You’ll Do Manage a patient panel of 12-15 oncology and hematology cases daily in a busy center Provide comprehensive oncology and hematology consultations, diagnosis, and treatment plans Collaborate with a team of three permanent providers in an established outpatient center Handle patient follow-ups, new consultations, and ongoing care Respond to light call duties via beeper, primarily for established patient needs Document clinical encounters accurately in the medical record system Participate in quality improvement and patient education activities What You Need Active Medical License in Virginia (or eligible for licensure) Board Certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology highly preferred Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to commit for the duration of the assignment and work in a fast-paced environment About the Assignment Join a top healthcare team at a leading facility in Martinsville, VA, providing specialized hematology and oncology care.
