Job Description
Step into a vital speech-language pathologist role serving students in a dynamic school setting near Soperton and Mt Vernon, GA. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 24th to May 21st, offering you the chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of middle and high school students, with some elementary caseload as well. You’ll collaborate with another on-site SLP, allowing for a supportive environment and manageable workloads.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Licensed SLP with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Minimum of 1-year experience in school settings, working with mild to moderate language and articulation delays preferred
- Experience in both individual and group therapy sessions
- Strong communication and collaborative team skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and flexible to adapt as needs arise
- Must be able to commit to contract dates; no CFYs or SLPAs for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy for students ranging from elementary to high school, with primary focus on middle and secondary education
- Participate in eligibility meetings, MDTs, IEP development, and student progress monitoring
- Work alongside another SLP to ensure efficient caseload management and continuity of care
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Offer support and recommendations to faculty and families to promote generalization of skills
