Job Description
Step into an engaging, contract-based opportunity serving schools in the Wylie, TX area as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)! This onsite assignment is designed for an experienced professional eager to positively shape student outcomes across multiple educational settings.
Your expertise will play a vital role in supporting both a Junior High and an Elementary school SLP on maternity leave, beginning with the start of the school year through October 19th. Additionally, coverage will be needed for a High School SLP maternity leave from late September to mid-November, making this a dynamic role with varied student interaction and plenty of opportunities to demonstrate your clinical versatility.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Prior experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable and efficient in managing changing schedules and student caseloads
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy to a diverse caseload of students
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans
- Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with school and state standards
- Provide recommendations and resources to teachers and caregivers
- Consult and collaborate with school staff and fellow therapists to optimize student outcomes
- Travel between designated schools as needed
