Quick Facts Location: Lafayette, LA Start Date: ASAP / Within 60 days End Date/Duration: Permanent position (locum-to-perm) Shift: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (may work until last chemo/biotherapy is completed) Hours/week: 40 Employment Type: Full-Time License/Certs: Current State Nurse Practitioner License; must have 3-5 years Hematology/Oncology experience Experience: 3–5 years Hematology/Oncology Pay & Benefits: Salary: $105,000 – $115,000/year (based on experience) Pay package discussed upon application Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Retirement plan What You’ll Do Provide outpatient care to complex hematology-oncology patients in a busy clinic setting Manage treatment visits, follow-ups, and new patient assessments Collaborate closely with physicians, NPs, and care team to coordinate patient care Monitor patient progress, administer therapies, and provide supportive care Follow protocols for chemotherapy and biotherapy administration Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records Participate in team meetings and contribute to high-quality patient outcomes What You Need Required: Current Nurse Practitioner license in Louisiana or the ability to obtain one 3-5 years Hematology/Oncology experience in a high-volume setting Strong clinical skills in managing complex patients with co-morbidities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred: Experience with outpatient infusion suites and chemotherapy administration Excellent coordination and communication skills About the Assignment This position is based at a fully staffed outpatient oncology clinic in Lafayette, LA, featuring an infusion suite with 16 chairs. The clinic is staffed by experienced physicians and nurse practitioners, managing a full panel of complex patients. The clinic does not require inpatient rounding, but involves close coordination of outpatient care, treatment planning, and patient follow-up visits.
