School Speech Language Pathologist - Des Plaines, Illinois

You’ll play a pivotal role in helping students develop essential communication skills, with resources and support from an established network. This role is full-time and spans the academic year, with opportunities to support multiple schools within a supportive charter network.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current SLP-CCC credential
• Eligible for Illinois licensure
• Experience in a school-based SLP setting
• Skilled at working with PreK–8th grade students
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred, enhancing service delivery, but not required
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy services according to IEP requirements
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and participate in multidisciplinary teams
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure holistic support for each student
• Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Adapt therapeutic activities to reflect students’ linguistic, cultural, and learning needs
• Travel between assigned school sites as needed
