Quick Facts Location: Auburn & Opelika, Alabama Start Date: Upon agreement Duration: Permanent position Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Hours/Week: 40 hours Employment Type: Full-Time Required Licenses/Certifications: Doctor of Optometry (OD), AL State Optometry License Experience: All levels encouraged to apply (new graduates welcomed) Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: Discussed upon application (competitive hourly or salaried package) Benefits: Matching 401(k) plan Dental insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) plus holidays Malpractice insurance Continuing Education (CE) opportunities Partnership potential for long-term career growth What You’ll Do Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose visual and ocular health conditions Prescribe corrective lenses and manage contact lens fittings Diagnose and treat a variety of eye diseases and conditions, including prescribing medications and performing therapeutic procedures Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless patient experience Stay current with advancements in optometry technology and clinical practices Provide patient education on eye health and visual aids Support a broad range of services including primary care, medical therapeutics, and pre/post-operative care What You Need Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution Active Alabama State Optometry License Strong communication and patient care skills All levels of experience are encouraged to apply About the Position This role is based in a reputable, community-oriented practice recognized as Auburn-Opelika’s best eye care provider.
