Job Description
Embark on a rewarding school-based opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract position is conveniently located in the Plano, TX area and supports students across both Junior High and Elementary settings. You’ll play a vital role during maternity leave coverage beginning as soon as possible and extending through November 19. Additionally, you may have the chance to contribute at the high school level, ensuring a meaningful impact across multiple campuses.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Prior experience working within school settings highly preferred
- Familiarity with diverse caseloads, ideally across elementary, junior high, and high school populations
- Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech and language therapy to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations to determine student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Support inclusive learning environments and provide teacher/parent consultations
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational staff
- Flexibly adapt to a caseload spanning multiple campus levels as needed
