Quick Facts Location: Clinton, NC Start Date: 07/23/2026 End Date/Duration: 10/16/2026 Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-hour call) Hours/Week: Approximately 40 hours/week Employment Type: Locum Tenens License/Certifications: Active NC license, NC DEA, Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery Experience: Prior orthopedic surgery experience required Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $1.00/hour (note: pay details provided for reference) Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2 arrangement) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time, in accordance with legal requirements Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do Provide comprehensive orthopedic surgical services, including management of wrist, ankle, and hip fractures, and I&D procedures Manage closed reductions and admissions, typically 0-2 per day Perform 0-3 consults per day to support patient care Stabilize long bone trauma and facilitate transfers as needed Participate in 24-hour call duties in a hospital on Meditech expansion platform Maintain timely documentation and communication with hospital teams Adhere to hospital policies, including on-call response times and credentialing standards What You Need Active North Carolina medical license and NC DEA (with NC address) Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery Ability to provide vaccination verification Minimum of 2+ years of orthopedic surgery experience Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills Must be within 20 minutes of the hospital for on-call responsibilities Credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare and enrolled with PECOS About the Assignment This assignment is at a reputable hospital in Clinton, NC, providing general orthopedic surgery services with a focus on trauma, fractures, and related procedures. The facility offers comfortable hospital-owned apartments on-site with cable and Wi-Fi, and the position includes manageable case volumes aligned with hospital needs. Travel expenses are capped at $500, covering airfare or rental cars/mileage, and gratis hours are capped at 4 per shift.
