Peery Highway, Richlands, VA 24641 Start Date: 05/01/2026 Duration: Ongoing / as per contract terms Shift: Mon, Wed, half Thu, Fri – Procedures in Endoscopy Suite; Tue – Office consultations; Night call every night Hours/Week: 40+ hours Employment Type: Contract (per diem/locum) Licensure/Certifications: Active medical license, DEA, Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Experience: Prior GI/endoscopy procedure experience preferred Pay & Benefits: Pay package discussed upon application Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Licensure, certification, travel reimbursements as applicable Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with all applicable laws Licensure, certification, and travel-related reimbursements What You’ll Do: Perform outpatient and inpatient evaluations in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Conduct procedures in the Endoscopy Suite based on schedule Manage hospital consults, rounding, and night call coverage Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient treatment plans Document clinical findings accurately and timely Provide consultative support and follow-up care for diverse patient populations What You Need: Active medical license in Virginia or able to obtain one Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Experience with endoscopic procedures preferred Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to take night call and hospital rounding shifts About the Assignment: Join a busy, patient-centered internal medicine and gastroenterology department at a reputable facility in Virginia.
