Quick Facts Location: Hammond, LA (16045 Doctor’s Boulevard) Start Date: 07/17/2026 End Date/Duration: Ongoing Shift: Clinic Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Hospital rotation every 5-6 weeks Hours/Week: 40 hours/week (plus hospital duties) Employment Type: Full-time locum tenens License/Certifications: Active supervising license, board-certified or eligible in interventional cardiology Experience: Prior invasive cardiology experience preferred Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $1.00 per hour Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Competitive pay package discussed upon application Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid sick time according to applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated team support with VHS Paid malpractice insurance PTO and paid time off opportunities What You’ll Do Provide inpatient care and patient rounding on the hospital service team Conduct consultations, interpret diagnostic studies, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds Manage follow-up and care coordination with imaging/testing teams Lead on-site visits and review diagnostic results Communicate effectively with referring providers Support long-term patient panel management in outpatient clinics Serve as a supervising physician for Physician Assistants and medical staff Ensure comprehensive patient documentation and compliance What You Need Active supervising license and board certification or eligibility in interventional cardiology Minimum of 3 years’ invasive cardiology experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to high-quality patient care and provider collaboration About the Assignment This position is with a leading facility in Hammond, LA, providing a mix of inpatient hospital services and outpatient clinics in a busy cardiology practice.
