Quick Facts: Location: Fortuna, CA Start Date: 07/20/2026 Duration: Ongoing assignment Shift: Night shifts (6 am - 2 pm, 8 am - 4 pm, 1 pm - 11 pm) Hours/week: Guaranteed 8 hours, with OT after 12 hours (pre-approved) Employment: Travel/Locum position Licensure/Certifications: CA License required; BC or BE within 5 years; ABEM/ABEOM certification required Experience: Prior emergency medicine experience required Pay & Benefits: Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (plus incentives for night shifts) Weekly Pay: Via direct deposit Benefits: Competitive pay packages Medical benefits (W-2 employment) Paid sick time according to applicable laws Referral bonus program Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements where applicable What You’ll Do: Provide emergency medical care to an average of 110 patients per 24 hours Manage acute cases across a wide spectrum of medical emergencies Collaborate with hospital staff and adhere to protocols Document patient evaluations, treatments, and outcomes accurately Ensure compliance with hospital policies and medical standards Participate in team handoffs and provider communication What You Need: Valid California medical license Board-certified or board-eligible in emergency medicine (within 5 years) Active ABEM or ABEOM certification (no ABIM/ABFM) Minimum 2 years of recent emergency medicine experience in a hospital setting Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently in high-volume environments About the Assignment: This assignment involves providing emergency medical care at a well-respected hospital in Fortuna, CA. The facility handles approximately 110 patients daily, requiring providers to deliver efficient, quality care during night shifts.
