\n*Experience Required* Part-time <20- Every other Saturday and Sunday 8:30 am- 3:30 pm (3215)\n
\nPRN- Varied Shifts; as needed (2955)\n
\nLocation: Lewistown, PA\n
\nPay: $19.00 per hour, up to $19.75 per hour with NADSP DSP certification(s)\n
\nAn extra $1 per hour for eligible 2nd shift and weekend hours\n
\n
\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n
\n
\nEntry level, training provided (some positions require experience, read schedule carefully)\n
\nA valid driver’s license and 6 months driving experience\n
\n18 years of age\n
\nAccess to a vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection\n
\nAbility to communicate, read, write, and understand the English language\n
\nPreferred: Previous Personal Care Aide, Caregiver, Direct Support Professional (DSP), or Direct Care Worker experience\n
\nPreferred: Knowledge of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism\n
\n
\nAs a DSP (Direct Support Professional) in Residential Services, you’ll support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes by assisting with daily needs, teaching life skills, encouraging independence, and promoting a safe and meaningful home life.\n
\n
\nWhat You’ll Do:\n
\n
\nSupport individuals with daily living needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, use of adaptive equipment, and providing transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings (training provided)\n
\nEncourage independence, confidence, and life-skill development\n
\nBuild trusting, respectful relationships through effective communication\n
\nFollow individualized support plans and document progress\n
\nAssist with health and safety needs, including medication support and monitoring\n
\nPromote meaningful activities, community involvement, and strong social connections\n
\n
