\nWe are seeking an experienced *Deposition Attorney* to join our growing Litigation Team. This is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA 90048 and is ideal for an attorney with strong deposition experience, excellent litigation skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of consumers.\n
\n
\nThe Deposition Attorney will play a key role in the litigation process by preparing for, taking, and defending depositions while collaborating closely with attorneys, paralegals, and litigation staff. The ideal candidate is confident in handling witness examinations, analyzing testimony, and developing case strategies that support favorable litigation outcomes.\n
\n
\n*What You'll Do*\n
\n
\n* Prepare for, take, and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, expert witnesses, dealership personnel, and manufacturer representatives\n
\n* Review case files, repair histories, discovery responses, and supporting documentation to develop deposition strategies\n
\n* Conduct witness preparation sessions and advise clients prior to deposition testimony\n
\n* Analyze deposition testimony and identify key issues that impact litigation strategy\n
\n* Draft deposition summaries and provide recommendations to the litigation team\n
\n* Collaborate with attorneys on case strategy, discovery planning, and trial preparation\n
\n* Draft and review discovery responses, motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents as needed\n
\n* Participate in meet-and-confer efforts related to discovery disputes\n
\n* Maintain regular communication with clients regarding deposition preparation and case progress\n
\n* Ensure compliance with California Rules of Court, discovery deadlines, and litigation procedures\n
\n* Maintain accurate case documentation within the firm's case management system\n
\n* Support settlement negotiations by evaluating testimony and identifying litigation risks\n
\n
\n*What We're Looking For*\n
\n
\n* Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California required\n
\n* Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience\n
\n* Extensive experience taking and defending depositions required\n
\n* California Lemon Law or consumer warranty litigation experience strongly preferred\n
\n* Strong knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure and California Rules of Court\n
\n* Excellent deposition, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills\n
\n* Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and deposition-related legal documents\n
\n* Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and critical thinking abilities\n
\n* Ability to evaluate complex factual and legal issues while developing effective litigation strategies\n
\n* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and witnesses\n
\n* Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple active litigation matters simultaneously\n
\n* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Filevine or similar case management software preferred\n
\n* Ability to commute to Los Angeles, CA 90048\n
