Quick Facts Location: Brattleboro, VT Start Date: Upon agreement End Date/Duration: Full-time, ongoing Shift: Day shift, rotation call schedule Hours/week: 40 Employment Type: Full-time Licenses/Certifications: Board Certified, CPR required Experience: Minimum 1-year orthopedic or surgical experience; new grads not eligible Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequent sitting, occasional standing/walking Work Environment: Clinical hospital/office setting Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (please note this rate appears to be placeholder; actual compensation will be discussed during interview) Benefits: Full-time stable employment with a respected Vermont healthcare organization Supportive, collaborative clinical environment Opportunity to practice in both clinical and surgical settings Equal employment opportunity and ADA accommodations Scenic southern Vermont location with outdoor recreation and family-friendly communities What You’ll Do Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons on diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments Develop and implement treatment plans under supervision Order, review, and interpret diagnostic and imaging studies Assist in surgical procedures and patient management before and after surgery Perform orthopedic procedures such as joint injections Educate patients and families on conditions and post-treatment recovery Maintain accurate documentation in medical records Participate in rotation call coverage as assigned Adhere to safety protocols, hospital policies, and quality initiatives What You Need Required: Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) license CPR certification Minimum 1 year of orthopedic or relevant surgical experience Preferred: Prior experience assisting in orthopedic surgeries Strong communication and patient education skills About the Assignment This position is at a leading facility in Brattleboro, Vermont, providing comprehensive orthopedic care in a dynamic clinical and hospital setting.
