Elkhart, IN, US Full Time

Job Description

Job Description

Make a meaningful impact working with students from preschool through eighth grade in a dynamic school setting. This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to provide speech-language services across a range of caseloads, including a focused middle school group (5th–8th grade, ~35 students) and several private school buildings serving preschoolers through 8th grade. Whether you enjoy virtual or in-person engagement, you'll find a rewarding environment with average caseloads of 40–45 (virtual) and 65–70 (in person).

The assignment runs from August 18 through June 7, providing stability for the academic year. While the private schools have minimal use of AAC devices and the middle school does not offer specialized AAC programs, your expertise in comprehensive communication support will be highly valued. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply—even though there is not an immediate need in the vacated positions, accommodations may be possible to create the best match.

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous school-based experience supporting students ages preschool through middle school
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage individualized caseloads
  • Familiarity with IEP documentation and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Flexibility to work onsite or virtually, as needed
  • SLPA candidates may be considered for in-person roles

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and implementing individualized therapy for students with diverse communication needs
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and other support staff to develop IEP goals
  • Providing consultation and support in areas such as speech, language, and social communication
  • Documenting progress and adapting interventions as students develop

If you’re seeking a vibrant, supportive environment where your SLP expertise will be appreciated, this could be your next opportunity. Submit your application today to be considered for a role that fosters growth in both your career and the students you serve!
