Provide inpatient newborn rounding with 24-hour call coverage in a Level I pediatric setting. This assignment offers a predictable daily rounding workload with minimal overnight callbacks.

Practice & Cases

  • Inpatient pediatric hospitalist coverage with newborn rounding and call
  • Average of 6-7 patients per shift
  • Daily newborn rounding typically averages about two hours
  • Perform newborn care and minor laceration suturing, with exchange transfusion preferred but not required
Schedule

  • 24-hour call shifts
  • 1:1 call coverage model
  • 30-minute response time
  • Typical overnight activity includes 1-2 phone consults
Requirements

  • Must be an MD or DO
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • Active Florida medical license required
  • PALS certification required
Logistics

  • Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage are provided
