Quick Facts: Location: 850 West Baraga Avenue, Marquette, MI 49855 Start Date: 07/30/2026 Schedule: Ongoing assignments, typically 2 weeks per month (preferably consecutive) Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with occasional night/weekend call Hours/Week: Full-time schedule Employment Type: Employed practice Licenses/Certifications: Valid medical license in Michigan, board certified in Internal Medicine, valid CPR and needed certifications Experience: Preferred 2+ years in hematology/oncology Pay & Benefits: Pay Rate: $1.00/hour Benefits: Competitive pay package Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time per applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements (if applicable) Access to ongoing support from a dedicated team What You’ll Do: Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care for a diverse patient population Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop personalized treatment plans Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including genetic counselors, tumor board, and research staff Participate in weekly tumor board meetings and contribute to patient management strategies Manage a patient load of approximately 10-15 per day, with support staff handling triage and in-office assessments Support inpatient consults as needed, with most care delivered outpatient Engage with electronic medical records (EMR) system (ONCO EMR) for documentation and order entry Comply with all clinical protocols and maintain high-quality standards of care What You Need: Valid medical license in Michigan Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine with subspecialty training in Hematology/Oncology preferred Experience working in an outpatient oncology/hematology setting preferred Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Ability to work in a collegial, fast-paced environment About the Assignment: This position is at a leading facility in Marquette, Michigan, renowned for its comprehensive cancer care and supportive team environment. The practice features a multidisciplinary team with access to genetic counseling, tumor registry, and research departments. The facility holds important accreditations, ensuring high standards of patient care and operational excellence. Providers work a Monday through Friday schedule, primarily outpatient, with minimal inpatient responsibilities.
