Job Description
Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist working across a charter school network that serves a wide range of students from PreK through 8th grade. This full-time, in-person role spans from July 2026 to June 2027 and will primarily focus on students in schools located near Orland Park and throughout the Chicago to North Chicago area. Bilingual SLPs, especially those who are Spanish-speaking, are highly valued, though bilingual abilities are not a requirement.
Your expertise will be crucial in supporting language and communication development for students in both early childhood and elementary programs. Ideal Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active state license to practice as an SLP in Illinois
- Experience or strong interest in school-based therapy from PreK through grade 8
- Bilingual (Spanish) ability is an asset, though not mandatory
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to travel to multiple school locations as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for speech, language, and communication disorders to students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families on student progress and IEPs
