Bilingual SLPs, especially those who are Spanish-speaking, are highly valued, though bilingual abilities are not a requirement.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Active state license to practice as an SLP in Illinois
• Experience or strong interest in school-based therapy from PreK through grade 8
• Bilingual (Spanish) ability is an asset, though not mandatory
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to travel to multiple school locations as needed
