Quick Facts Location: Colorado Springs, CO (1400 East Boulder Street) Start Date: 04/28/2026 End Date/Duration: Permanent position Shift: Rotating schedule including ICU, clinics, and OR coverage, Monday-Friday Hours/week: Full-time based on department needs Employment Type: Permanent, salary-based License/Certs: Colo. Nurse Practitioner license, current state certification Experience: Prior experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery, ICU patient management preferred Pay & Benefits Pay: Competitive annual salary between $100,588 and $143,769 (equivalent to $1.00 hourly rate, as specified) Bonuses: Eligibility for quality and productivity bonuses, relocation bonus for qualifying candidates Insurance & Retirement: Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance with dependents coverage; 403(b) retirement plan with employer match; voluntary 457(b) plan Additional Benefits: Paid malpractice, generous CME allowance, paid time off from day one, paid family and medical leave (including Colorado FAMLI), tuition assistance, wellness programs, flexible spending and HSA options, and voluntary benefits like pet insurance and employee discounts What You’ll Do Deliver advanced clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients, focusing on compassionate, patient-first service Assist in cardiac surgeries, performing procedures like endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting as needed Manage ICU and surgical patient care, including rounding and evaluations in CVICU, floor, and clinic settings Participate in bi-weekly clinics and provide additional patient care on other days Rotate through operating room coverage Monday through Friday Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary environment Order, interpret, and evaluate lab and diagnostic tests Develop and implement care plans and follow-ups based on patient outcomes Prescribe medications in compliance with policies Perform bedside procedures appropriate to patient needs Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care Demonstrate clinical judgment and work independently under physician supervision Maintain ongoing CME to meet licensing requirements Adapt to a high-stress, evolving clinical environment with flexibility and teamwork What You Need Current Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado Experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU patient management Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting About the Assignment Join a dedicated team at a leading facility in Colorado Springs providing world-class cardiothoracic surgical care.
