Speech Language Pathologist in Mishawaka, IN

This contract opportunity runs from August 18 through June 7 and is perfect for passionate Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and potentially experienced Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) interested in making a meaningful impact. With caseloads available for both virtual and in-person roles, you’ll collaborate with a diverse team to meet students’ academic and developmental goals.

You will work primarily with one 5th–8th grade building (serving approximately 35 students) and several private school sites with caseloads spanning preschool through 8th grade. Caseload numbers vary: full-time virtual roles tend to average 40–45 students, while in-person settings typically serve 65–70. While exposure to AAC devices is limited in these environments, your clinical skills in school-based speech therapy will be essential to student success.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Valid licensure for practice in Indiana
• School-based SLP experience highly valued
• Will consider SLPAs for on-site positions only
• Bilingual candidates are welcomed and adjustments can be considered, though not required for current openings
• Comfort managing larger caseloads across various grade levels

Responsibilities:

• Deliver assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for K–8 students
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation
• Support students with diverse language and communication needs, including articulation, fluency, and social communication
• Participate in IEP meetings and develop individualized plans
