Quick Facts Location: 2700 Dolbeer Street, Eureka, CA 95501 Start Date: 07/17/2026 End Date: Duration negotiable Shift: Clinic hours 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm; On-call (weeknight beeper, 24-hour weekend beeper) Hours per Week: 40+ hours; 8 hours/day guaranteed Employment Type: Locum Tenens, full-time License/Certs: Active CA medical license, DEA, BLS, BC or BE within 3-5 years of residency Experience: 2+ years inpatient case logs in oncology/hematology preferred Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (rate to be confirmed upon application) Benefits: Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Licensure, certification, travel, and miscellaneous reimbursements (if applicable) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time (per law) Licensure, certification, travel reimbursements (if applicable) What You’ll Do Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology clinical care Conduct routine patient assessments, diagnostics, and follow-ups Administer chemotherapy and manage oncology treatment plans Respond to emergencies during assigned on-call hours via phone only Participate in clinic procedures, patient consultation, and interdisciplinary communication Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes What You Need Required: Active California medical license and DEA Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine with specialization or experience in Hematology/Oncology BLS certification Minimum 2 years inpatient oncology cases (logs required) Preferred: Prior experience in hospital-based outpatient/clinic oncology settings Ability to work independently and in team environments About the Assignment This position is based at a leading facility in Eureka, California, combining inpatient and outpatient oncology services.
