Quick Facts: Location: 1000 South Beckham Avenue, Tyler, TX 75701 Start Date: 07/17/2026 Duration: Last-minute coverage for 2 days (07/10 & 07/11) Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Days only) Hours/Week: 40 hours/week Employment Type: Temporary/Contract Licenses/Certifications: Valid Physician Assistant License in Texas, ACLS, BLS Experience: Previous ICU, OR, or cardiac surgery experience required; vein harvesting experience preferred Pay & Benefits: Competitive pay package (pay rate: $1.00/hour) Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical Benefits (W-2) and paid sick time Robust referral bonus program Reimbursements for licensure, travel, and certifications when applicable 24/7 dedicated support team throughout your assignment What You’ll Do: Provide rounding and patient management in ICU, pre and post-cardiac surgery Care for patients recovering from open-heart surgeries, VATS, and lung procedures Manage ventilated patients coming out of OR Assist with open-heart, VATS, and lung cases, including vein harvesting (preferred) Collaborate closely with surgical teams and ICU staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Document patient care and interventions accurately and timely What You Need: Valid Physician Assistant license in Texas Prior experience with ICU, cardiac surgery, or OR procedures Certification in BLS and ACLS Strong clinical skills with the ability to efficiently manage complex post-surgical patients Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment About the Assignment: This role involves providing critical patient care in a renowned cardiovascular and thoracic surgery unit. You will be integral in managing post-op and ICU patients, assisting in surgical procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes in a dynamic, supportive setting.
