Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ communication needs with a mission-driven school network serving diverse communities near Evanston, IL. As an experienced, contract Speech-Language Pathologist, your expertise will foster meaningful progress for children PreK-8th grade in a vibrant, multi-site setting. This full-time position begins July 2026 and extends through June 2027, offering consistency to students and staff as you provide essential SLP services across designated locations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering comprehensive school-based speech and language therapy services for assigned caseloads at one or more campuses (PreK-8 and K-8).
  • Conducting screenings, evaluations, and therapy to support students with a variety of communication challenges.
  • Collaborating closely with classroom instructors, special education team members, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Accurately documenting session notes, progress reports, and compliance paperwork per district and state mandates.
  • Utilizing culturally responsive practices to support students from diverse backgrounds, including those for whom Spanish may be a primary language.
  • Occasional travel between campuses within the network.

Desired qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
  • Current CCC-SLP certification (ASHA) and eligibility for Illinois State licensure.
  • Prior experience working in schools or pediatric settings.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) skills highly valued, though not required.
  • Strong teamwork, organization, and intercultural communication skills.
