Quick Facts Location: Lafayette, LA Start Date: Negotiable End Date/Duration: Permanent Position Shift: 2-3 OR days/week, Flexibility Hours/Week: Approximately 16-24 hours in OR, flexible schedule Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent License/Certs: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery Experience: Open to experienced or new graduates Pay & Benefits Pay rate: $1.00/hour (per diem/placeholder rate for reference) Benefits include: Paid vacation, holidays, and CME Full medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plans (401k, 403b, 457b) Malpractice & tail insurance coverage Relocation assistance Additional wellness-focused benefits What You’ll Do Provide specialized orthopedic hand surgery services for a diverse patient population Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including APPs and support staff Utilize advanced technology like microscopes for procedures Participate in patient education and follow-up care Contribute to resident teaching and mentorship opportunities Support hospital and practice initiatives to improve patient outcomes What You Need Current medical license in Louisiana or ability to obtain Board Certified/Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment Prior hand surgery experience preferred but not required About the Assignment This permanent position is at a leading hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana, the only single-specialty orthopedic hospital in the region, equipped with 6 ORs and room for expansion.
