Quick Facts Location: Colorado Springs, CO (1400 East Boulder Street) Start Date: 04/28/2026 Duration: Indefinite full-time position Shift: Monday – Friday, rotating OR coverage, with clinic days Hours/Week: 40 hours/week Employment Type: Permanent, full-time License/Certs: Colorado PA license required; BLS/ACLS preferred Experience: Minimum 3 years in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery & ICU patient management Pay & Benefits Pay package: Salary range $100,588 – $143,769 annually (commensurate with experience) Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical, vision, dental, and life insurance (W-2) Paid malpractice insurance Generous CME allowance and ongoing education benefits 403(b) retirement plan with employer matching; additional 457(b) option available Paid time off (PTO) from start date, plus paid family and medical leave Relocation bonus for eligible candidates Wellness programs and voluntary benefits such as pet insurance, identity theft protection, and employee discounts Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do Provide expert perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients, with a patient-first focus Assist in complex cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting and surgical procedures Manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patient care, including rounding and assessments in CVICU, floor, and clinic settings Participate in two full-day clinics weekly, with additional patient appointments as needed Rotate through operating room coverage Monday through Friday Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members in a multidisciplinary environment Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to develop care plans Prescribe medications and perform bedside procedures appropriate for the patient population Ensure accurate, timely documentation of all clinical activities Operate independently under physician supervision with clinical judgment and professionalism Complete ongoing CME to maintain and enhance skills What You Need Required: Active Colorado Physician Assistant license Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU management BLS/ACLS certification Preferred: Experience assisting in complex cardiac surgeries Strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills About the Assignment Join a cutting-edge cardiac surgery team at a leading facility in Colorado Springs, focused on delivering extraordinary patient outcomes.
