Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences is currently recruiting Behavioral Health Technicians in Smithville, Texas. This is an on-site opportunity. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:

Pay: $18 to $20 per hour, based on experience
Type: Temp to hire contract
Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday, 7am to 3pm OR Wednesday through Saturday, 11pm to 7am. Part time available too!
Specialty: Alcohol and Drug Rehab

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct luggage and personal searches in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and assist with Book Studies and Recovery meetings, facilitating sessions when assigned.

  • Maintain awareness of patient locations through regular facility rounds and accurately document hourly patient checks.

  • Ensure patients adhere to the program schedule and arrive on time for all assigned activities.

  • Supervise and facilitate therapeutic and recreational patient activities as directed.

  • Ensure patients comply with evening room schedules and facility expectations.

  • Monitor medication line operations to prevent medication diversion and de-escalate conflicts or behavioral concerns.

  • Assist patients with transportation to activities, medication administration, and meals when mobility support is required.

  • Support counselors with assigned tasks and maintain accurate, timely documentation.

  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

  • Encourage patient engagement in treatment by addressing denial, resistance, and barriers to achieving treatment goals.

  • Manage the therapeutic community by redirecting inappropriate behaviors, maintaining a safe environment, and completing detailed shift reports.

  • Participate in required staff trainings, meetings, and professional development programs.

  • Assist nursing staff with patient care and other duties as directed by supervisors.

  • Safely transport patients to medical appointments, therapeutic outings, and other approved destinations.


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Healthcare experience preferred, alcohol and drug treatment experience is a plus

  • Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate a basic understanding of the principles of chemical dependency recovery

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record

  • CPR certified

  • Physically capable to walk one mile during a 8 hour shift, sit comfortably for 3 hours during a 8 hour shift

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
