Quick Facts Location: Springfield, OH (100 Medical Center Drive) Start Date: 05/28/2026 (or flexible) End Date/Duration: Ongoing with potential for extension Shift: Call coverage (prepare for potential on-call duties) Hours/Week: Variable – based on coverage needs Employment Type: Temporary/Locum Licenses/Certifications: Valid medical license; Board Certified in Surgery, Cardiothoracic preferred Experience: Prior cardiothoracic/vascular surgery experience required Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $19.50/hour Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time per applicable laws Travel, lodging, and licensure/reimbursement when applicable What You’ll Do Provide specialized surgical coverage for cardiothoracic and vascular procedures Assist with procedures such as coronary artery bypass, aneurysm repair, lung resection, and more Evaluate and manage acute cardiovascular and thoracic conditions Coordinate with onsite lab and imaging services using EPIC system Support the hospital’s full range of surgical needs for adult patients Be available for call coverage and emergent interventions as needed What You Need Valid medical license in Ohio or be eligible for licensure Board Certified or eligible in Surgery; Cardiothoracic experience preferred Minimum of 2 years of relevant surgical experience Strong skills in general CV/Thoracic/Vascular surgeries and emergency procedures Excellent communication and teamwork abilities About the Assignment Bon Secours Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeon for call coverage to support their busy, full-service acute care hospital. The facility features 250 beds, including 60 ICU beds, with onsite lab and x-ray, and utilizes EPIC for documentation.
