  Location: Sugar Land, TX Pay Rate: $58/hr
  Employment Type: Contract (Non-Exempt)
  Assignment Dates: ASAP (13weeks)
  Shift: 9pm - 7am Mon - Thur

About the Opportunity

Protouch Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN OR) for a contract assignment with a leading healthcare system in Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven surgical environment alongside a top-tier clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room across a variety of surgical specialties

• Circulate and/or scrub for surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment prior to procedures

• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and safety standards

• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent surgical needs

Required Experience & Skills

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)

• 5+ years of CURRENT Operating Room experience

• Strong experience in the following specialties:

  • General Surgery

  • Neuro

  • Circulatory RN

  • Orthopedics

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Robotics (including Mako Robotics)

  • Charge & EPIC Charting

• Proven ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced OR environment

• ACLS & BLS (AHA only)

• EPIC

Preferred Qualifications

• Charge Exp

• Scrub RN
