Quick Facts: Location: Belmont, NC Start Date: Late 2024 (exact date flexible upon offer) End Date/Duration: Ongoing Shift: 24-hour rounding shifts (day and on-call from home) Hours/Week: Approximately 36 hours/week (3-4 shifts) Employment Type: Full-Time Licenses/Certs: Current Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (must be NC or compact license) Experience: Minimum of 2 years as NNP; no new graduates Pay: $1.00/hour (note: pay listed as provided for system purposes; actual compensation to be discussed) Pay & Benefits: Competitive pay (discussed upon application) Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance & Disability options Employee stock purchase program with a 15% discount* 401(k) with company match** Pre-tax Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Long-term care coverage & supplemental insurance plans Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Identity Protection What You’ll Do: Provide expert neonatal care to newborns in a brand new Level I nursery scheduled to open late 2024 Perform daily rounds and attend deliveries as needed Stabilize, manage, and facilitate transport of newborns requiring higher level care to Level III NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia Collaborate with a team of 4 NNPs, neonatologists, and transport staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Engage in patient and family education Maintain comprehensive documentation and clinical records Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit protocols What You Need: Current Board Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (FNP/PNP cannot be accepted) 2+ years of professional NNP experience (excluding RN experience) Valid North Carolina or multi-state license Proficiency in neonatal stabilization, management, and transport procedures Strong communication and teamwork skills About the Assignment: This opportunity is with a leading facility in Belmont, North Carolina, poised to provide exceptional neonatal care in a newly built, 10-bed Level I nursery.
