Quick Facts Location: 3635 Vista Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110 Start Date: 08/24/2026 End Date: 11/23/2026 Shift: Day shift (06:00 – 18:30) with rotating call schedule Hours/week: Approximately 40 hours/week Employment Type: Temporary/Contract License/Certs: Missouri license required; BLS certification required; RNFA preferred for NPs Experience: Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience Pay & Benefits Hourly pay rate: $167.70 Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Travel, licensure, certification, and other reimbursements where applicable What You’ll Do Assist in adult cardiothoracic surgeries such as CABG, valve repairs, ascending aortic surgeries, and more Collaborate with a team of 5 cardiac surgeons and intensivists in a high-volume academic hospital setting Prepare and operate specialized equipment like the Maquet EVH system and assist with procedures including sternotomies, chest tube placement, and the use of circulatory support devices (Impella, ECMO, IABP) Provide intraoperative support in the operating room, ensuring surgical procedures are performed efficiently and safely Support perioperative patient care and contribute to postoperative management as applicable Participate in on-call rotations, including nights and weekends, as scheduled What You Need Required: Board certification in relevant specialty Missouri medical license or willingness to obtain license BLS certification At least 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience Preferred: RNFA certification or experience in similar roles About the Assignment This assignment takes place at a leading facility in St. Louis, Missouri, dedicated to adult cardiac surgical care.
