As part of a global brand, our Waynesboro, PA facility plays a key role in producing and delivering innovative door systems. We are seeking an initiative-taking, self-sufficient Cost Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, direct manufacturing environment.
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the plants accounting practices, the maintenance of its accounting records and the preparation of its financial reports. This role has overall responsibility for general and cost accounting, and budgetary controls.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate production costs, overhead, labor, and inventory to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities, and prepare detailed reports comparing actual costs to standard or budgeted costs
- Assist in creating accurate budgets, revenue forecasts, and cost projections to support financial planning
- Monitor inventory accuracy, conduct physical counts, and account for fixed assets
- Gather financial and operational data, analyze trends, and trace costs to specific processes, departments, or products
- Participate in target costing, margin analysis, and inter-company transactions, and execute standard cost updates
- Prepare weekly and monthly managerial reports with focus on highlighting profitability
- Support External audit
- Provide cross functional support to various departments, including but not limited to support accounting team with specific tasks when necessary
- Participate in the development of company accounting policy and procedures.
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance and 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Data driven, attention to details
- Proficiency in Accounting software, reporting tools and excel
- Hands on and ability to work in a growing work environment
- Ability to multitask
- Experience in a manufacturing business

Salary/Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
