Qualifications & Experience:

• Demonstrated proficiency in ASL—beyond basic finger spelling and common signs
• Prior experience in educational support, preferably within elementary or middle school environments

• Comfortable collaborating closely with general education and special education staff
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct classroom and one-on-one support to students needing ASL interpretation or communication assistance
• Facilitate communication between students, staff, and peers using advanced sign language skills
• Assist teachers by reinforcing instructional content, supporting classroom management, and adapting activities as needed
• Participate in team meetings, IEPs, and regular progress reporting with staff and faculty
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and inclusive educational setting for all students
