Quick Facts Location: Brattleboro, VT Start Date: 05/29/2026 Duration: Permanent Shift: 12-hour shifts (day/night options), flexible scheduling Hours/Week: 36-40 hours Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire License/Certs: Medical Doctor (MD)/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO); VT license preferred Experience: Prior hospitalist experience preferred but not required Pay & Benefits Compensation: $300,000 – $350,000 annually (salary based on experience) Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance (W-2) Retirement plan with employer contributions Paid time off and holidays Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance and paid CME time Malpractice insurance coverage Life and disability insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Paid sick time in accordance with applicable state, federal, and local laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements where applicable What You’ll Do Provide direct patient care including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of medical conditions Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in a hospital setting Collaborate with specialists, primary care, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers Coordinate patient care plans and ensure smooth care transitions Order and interpret lab tests, imaging, and diagnostic procedures Document encounters thoroughly and promptly in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Respond to medical emergencies, including codes and rapid responses Manage ventilator therapy and participate in clinical rounds and interdisciplinary meetings Educate patients and families about diagnoses and treatment options Contribute to hospital committees, quality improvement, and performance initiatives What You Need Valid Vermont medical license or license eligible Board certification in relevant specialty (preferred) Prior hospitalist experience (preferred but not mandatory) Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment About the Assignment Join a community-focused, not-for-profit hospital in beautiful Brattleboro, VT, dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate healthcare.
