Quick Facts Location: 2700 Dolbeer Street, Eureka, CA 95501 Start Date: 09/09/2026 Duration: Ongoing coverage approximately 1-2 weeks per month Shift: See details below Hours/Week: 7-14 shifts per month, 8 hours guaranteed per shift Employment Type: Locum contract License/Certs: Active CA license, DEA required, Board Certified or truly BE Experience: Previous anesthesiology experience required Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 per hour Pay Package Includes: Regular, orientation, overtime, holiday, night call, 24-hour call, call-back Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Travel and licensure reimbursements when applicable Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements as applicable What You’ll Do Provide anesthesia care for inpatient procedures within a hospital setting Participate in clinic and call coverage including weeknight beeper and 24-hour weekend beeper call Collaborate with a team of physicians and staff to ensure safe patient outcomes Work scheduled shifts ranging from 8-12 hours, including OB and evening shifts Be available for post-shift on-call duties as per schedule Follow hospital protocols and maintain documentation standards Adapt to shift changes after a few weeks working day shifts What You Need Active California medical license DEA registration Board certification or truly board eligible in anesthesiology Willingness to work night and weekend shifts Prior anesthesiology experience in a hospital setting Strong communication and teamwork skills About the Assignment This assignment involves providing anesthesiology services at a leading hospital in Eureka, CA. Providers will be scheduled for a combination of clinic and call shifts, with specific in-house and on-call responsibilities designed to ensure optimal patient care while offering flexible scheduling. Providers will start with day shifts and gradually transition into night shifts as they become comfortable with the schedule.
