Work schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Job Description

Position Summary:

The Global Trade Analyst is responsible for supporting Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification and certification processes. This role serves as the primary liaison between internal business units, manufacturing sites, external vendors, and partners, focusing on troubleshooting Certificate of Origin requests and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of supplier solicitations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Act as the primary point of contact for Certificate of Origin and supplier solicitation requests.
• Strong experience required in global/international trade, customs compliance, import compliance, and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification.
• Role will act as a liaison between consultants and cross-functional teams (Purchasing, Global Trade, Finance, IT, Tax, Vendors).
• Main responsibility is to coordinate communication, identify roadblocks, and escalate issues during system implementation
• Troubleshoot issues related to FTA certifications, including incomplete, inaccurate, or missing origin documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers, procurement teams, and manufacturing sites to obtain supporting documentation required for FTA qualification analyses.
• Track, monitor, and follow up with vendors regarding open Certificate of Origin requests and documentation deficiencies.
• Identify and escalate complex origin determination issues to Trade Compliance specialists when necessary.
• Maintain organized master data logs, records of supplier certifications, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in generating reports and metrics related to supplier solicitation campaigns and response rates.
• Help maintain standardized processes and work instructions for FTA certification management.
• Organize and attend calls, interacting with stakeholders across multiple global regions.
  

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education & Experience:

• BA/BS is preferred. Associate degree or equivalent work experience is acceptable. Must have 1–3 years of experience in trade compliance, customs operations, procurement, supply chain, or administrative support.

Industry Knowledge:

• Full understanding of the qualification process for USMCA and company obligations is highly preferred. Requires knowledge of Certificates of Origin, supplier solicitations, and country-of-origin requirements.
  

Technical & Language Skills:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Soft Skills:

• Must be a diligent team player with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving capabilities, and excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
