Quick Facts: Location: Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, 17 Belmont Avenue, Brattleboro, VT 05301 Start Date: ASAP / Flexible based on candidate availability Duration: Full-time employment Shift: Standard clinical hours, rotating on-call coverage included Hours/week: 40 hours Employment Type: Full-time Licenses/Certifications: CPR, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery Experience: Proven surgical expertise in orthopedics Pay & Benefits: Salary: $300,000 – $360,000 annually (based on experience, education, and internal/external equity) Pay package discussed upon application Benefits: Competitive health insurance, paid time off, professional development opportunities, and more (benefits detailed upon hire) What You’ll Do: Diagnose and evaluate orthopedic conditions using physical exams and diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRI, CT scans) Develop and implement treatment plans combining surgical and non-surgical methods Perform a variety of orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements, fracture repairs, and arthroscopy Provide pre- and post-operative patient care ensuring safety and recovery Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapy specialists and primary care providers Maintain accurate and timely medical records Communicate effectively with patients and their families about diagnoses and treatment options Stay current with advancements in orthopedic surgery and participate in ongoing education and research What You Need: Valid medical license in Vermont or eligible for licensure Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery CPR certification Minimum of 2+ years of orthopedic surgical experience preferred Strong diagnostic, surgical, and interpersonal skills Ability to work seamlessly in a team-oriented environment About the Assignment: Join a dedicated Orthopedics team within a leading facility in Brattleboro, Vermont, providing comprehensive musculoskeletal care to diverse patient populations.
