Quick Facts Location: 3635 Vista Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110 Start Date: 08/24/2026 End Date: 11/23/2026 Shift: Night shift, 5x8 hours (19:00 - 07:00), rotating call Hours/Week: 40 hours/week Employment Type: Contract License/Certs: Missouri license required, BLS certification required, RNFA preferred for NPs Experience: Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $144.05 per hour Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated team support Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do Provide first assist support in adult cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and ascending aortic procedures Assist with procedures such as sternotomies, chest tube, and pacing wire placements Support mechanical circulatory support procedures including Impella, ECMO cannulation, and IABP exposure Participate in endoscopic vein harvesting and other perioperative activities Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and OR staff to ensure patient safety and procedural success Document procedures accurately in Epic EMR system What You Need Required: Missouri RN license Board certification in relevant specialty BLS certification Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience Preferred: RNFA certification About the Assignment This assignment is with a leading facility in St. Louis, Missouri, providing high-level adult cardiothoracic surgery care. You will support a busy OR team performing a wide range of complex procedures, helping ensure excellent patient outcomes in a collaborative environment. The schedule includes regular night shifts, with some overnight and weekend call responsibilities, offering a dynamic and rewarding experience.
