Adecco is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Grinding Lead to join a reputable client in Wheeling, IL. This critical role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead and support manufacturing processes within a dynamic and team-oriented environment.

About the Role:
As the Grinding Lead, you will assume hands-on leadership within the manufacturing department, ensuring production runs smoothly, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. Your key responsibilities include coordinating daily workflows, supervising product quality, and supporting the department supervisor in operational management. You will motivate and guide team members to meet daily production targets, fostering a high-performance and safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years manufacturing experience; supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret measuring instruments
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Strong communication skills—effective reading, writing, and verbal conveying of information
  • Proven track record of making quality control decisions during production
  • Ability to meet production goals while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Willingness to work across various department areas and learn new skills

Schedule:

  • First shift: 6:45 am – 3:05 pm

Pay Details: $19.50 to $24.00 per hour
