Quick Facts Location: Detroit, MI (2800 West Grand Boulevard, Detroit, MI 48202) Start Date: ASAP / Negotiable End Date/Duration: Permanent Role Shift: Flexible (Leadership + Clinical Practice) Hours/Week: Standard Full-Time Employment Type: Permanent Licenses/Certifications: ALCS, PALS, Board Certified, DEA Experience: Demonstrated leadership within Hematology/Oncology setting; minimum years of relevant experience required Pay & Benefits Pay package: $500,000 – $550,000 annually (salary varies based on experience) Additional Benefits: Health, dental, vision, prescription coverage Retirement plans and healthcare savings accounts (HSA, FSA) Generous PTO, vacation, and sick leave CME allowance and paid holidays Relocation assistance up to $30,000 Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) qualified employer Short-term and long-term disability Employee assistance program (EAP) What You’ll Do Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Hematology/Oncology division at a major health system Serve as Associate Medical Director for the Cancer Service Line, guiding systemwide cancer care initiatives Lead and mentor over 40 academic physicians, supporting clinical excellence and research development Oversee clinical programs, including Bone Marrow Transplant and infusion services across multiple hospitals and clinics Develop and expand research and academic initiatives, including clinical trials and precision medicine Collaborate with academic partners, internal leadership, and community stakeholders to improve cancer care quality Participate in clinical practice (~25%) within the Hematology/Oncology Division What You Need Medical license with initial or full certification in Hematology/Oncology (Fellowship required) Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology ALCS, PALS, DEA certifications (must be current) Proven leadership experience in academic or large health system settings Experience overseeing faculty, clinical programs, and research initiatives Excellent communication and team-building skills About the Assignment Join a renowned Nationally recognized Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan, committed to innovative cancer research, clinical excellence, and academic mentorship.
