\nPrimary Activities/Duties\n
\n
\nProvide technical oversight of critical safety items and approved sources, ensuring continued certification compliance.\n
\nMaintain design configuration baselines for fielded systems and support certification standards.\n
\nPerform engineering evaluations to resolve design-related production issues and support alternate component qualification.\n
\nConduct evaluations to identify cost reduction opportunities and support product optimization.\n
\nParticipate in the change control process to assess, approve, and implement changes to local and global products.\n
\nCollaborate with Quality teams to identify, correct, and prevent product reliability issues.\n
\nLead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on speed, cost, quality, and productivity.\n
\nEngage with cross-functional teams to support product lifecycle and manufacturing readiness.\n
\n
\nRequirements\n
\n
\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.\n
\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.\n
\nEffective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and technical documentation.\n
\nFamiliarity with engineering change control processes and product lifecycle management.\n
\nProficiency in CAD tools and engineering software.\n
\n
\nKnowledge & Experience\n
\n
\nAssociate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field preferred.\n
\n1–3 years of product design experience, ideally in sheet metal fabrication and assembly.\n
\nExperience with MIG/TIG welding, powder coat, e-coat, and other metal finishing processes is a plus.\n
\nKnowledge of regulatory standards such as UL, CE, NEC, VDE, and performance measures like NEMA, IEC, ANSI.\n
\nProficiency in 3D and 2D CAD tools such as ProEngineer Creo 3.0 and AutoCAD Inventor.\n
\nEagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative engineering team.\n
