The Make Ready Technician is responsible for preparing vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing repairs, cleaning, painting, and general maintenance. This role ensures every apartment is move-in ready by meeting company quality standards and completion deadlines. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and takes pride in delivering quality work.
Key ResponsibilitiesApartment Turns- Prepare vacant apartment homes for new move-ins.
- Complete painting, drywall repairs, touch-ups, and patchwork.
- Replace fixtures, blinds, hardware, and other apartment components as needed.
- Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Clean and inspect apartments to ensure they meet move-in standards.
- Assist the maintenance team with service requests and general repairs as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance on vacant units.
- Maintain building exteriors, common areas, and grounds when assigned.
- Report maintenance issues that require additional repairs.
- Safely operate hand and power tools.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
- Keep storage and maintenance areas clean and organized.
- Follow OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Complete assigned work orders accurately and on time.
- Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least one year of apartment, residential, commercial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license may be required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Previous multifamily apartment Make Ready experience.
- Experience with apartment turns and unit preparation.
- EPA or HVAC certification is a plus, but not required.
