Pediatric Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Physician – Johnstown, PA Join a leading facility in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, as a Neonatologist specializing in high-risk neonatal care. Quick Facts: Location: Johnstown, PA Start Date: 07/22/2026 Duration: Ongoing, with one week of coverage every month Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (In-house), with 24/7 call support Hours/Week: Based on schedule, including on-call hours Employment Type: Per diem/locum License/Certs: PA Medical License, Board Certified/Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Experience: Prior NICU experience preferred but not mandatory Pay & Benefits: Pay Rate: $1.00 per hour (pay package discussed upon application) Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws What You’ll Do: Provide neonatal intensive care for high-risk infants in a Level III NICU with up to 20 beds Participate in high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitations Perform NICU rounds and coordinate patient care for an average of 9-11 infants daily Manage inpatient and outpatient neonatal services, including a weekly outpatient clinic Collaborate with a full-time neonatologist and in-house support team Respond promptly to all on-call emergencies within 20 minutes Document patient care using Epic EMR system What You Need: Valid PA Medical License and appropriate certifications in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Experience in NICU care preferred, but recent graduates considered Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong communication skills, with the ability to respond quickly during emergencies About the Assignment: This position involves providing specialized care in a Level III NICU setting at a prominent hospital in Johnstown. The neonatology team manages high-risk high-stakes neonatal cases, with a focus on delivering exceptional family-centered care. The schedule features a mix of inpatient rounds, outpatient clinic participation, and a rotating on-call component, ensuring a dynamic and impactful work environment.
