Quick Facts Location: Dothan, AL Start Date: TBD Duration: Permanent Shift: 12-hour Day Shift (7 am – 7 pm), 7 on / 7 off schedule Hours/week: Approximately 36 hours (minimum 12 shifts/month) Employment Type: Full-time, hospital-employed License/Certifications: Medical License in Alabama, Board Certification in Internal Medicine Experience: Internal Medicine residency trained; prior hospitalist experience preferred Pay & Benefits Pay package discussed upon application Benefits include: Generous signing bonus Health, dental, disability, and life insurances Retirement plan options Paid malpractice with tail coverage CME allowances and professional fee coverage Paid interview expenses What You'll Do Provide inpatient coverage, managing unassigned ED patients requiring admission Co-manage transfers and inpatient consultations Admit and manage adult patients within the hospital setting Collaborate with intensivists and subspecialists for critical care patients Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and documentation accuracy Support hospital protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives Provide limited coverage for select primary care patients, as needed What You Need Medical license in Alabama (or eligibility) Residency training in Internal Medicine Minimum 12 shifts/month, flexible scheduling Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage a diverse patient population efficiently About the Facility Join a leading facility in Dothan, Alabama, known for its extensive services including trauma, stroke care, neuroendovascular procedures, and advanced imaging.
