A well-established organization in downtown Shreveport, LA is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk - Oil & Gas for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with hands-on oil and gas accounting experience who enjoys detailed financial work, reconciliations, partner billing, revenue support, and accurate record maintenance.
The Accounting Clerk will join a stable, collaborative accounting team where accuracy, industry knowledge, and strong communication are highly valued. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly Joint Interest Billing, including operated property expenses, drilling costs, capital expenditures, and joint account charges.
- Support revenue accounting processes, including recording, reconciling, and distributing oil and gas revenues based on ownership interests.
- Maintain accurate ownership records, working interest percentages, division orders, and division of interest information.
- Process royalty payments, partner distributions, and related accounting transactions.
- Prepare account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and documentation for month-end and year-end close.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies while collaborating with accounting, operations, land, and management teams.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $45,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
